You know those memories that get stuck in your head and make you laugh at yourself? We made some of those this weekend. Saturday we joined the throngs of people at Reelfoot Lake for the annual arts & crafts fair. The memory that will never leave is not the fair itself but the picture in my mind of me, my mother, her 79 year old sister and my father’s younger brother strolling a crafts fair in the rain. You would think common sense would send you running for cover but not us. We just kept right on walking. We take our shopping seriously. No amateurs here. It eventually got so bad that we found ourselves packed under a lone tree like cows looking for shade. No shopping trip is ever abandoned because of a little inconvenience. We traipsed through the mud in search of a treasure with rain dripping from our hair.
